This time the free pattern is for a play set I call: Dog with Fleas. The carrying case for the play set is a dog. It opens to reveal a pop up farm house and garden. There is a poppa farmer and momma flea and as many baby fleas as you care to make. Each baby flea has a wagon to be pulled in. Farmer and momma flea have bendable arms/legs that are chenille stems.
This week's free pattern is for a little girl's dress size 12 month, 18 month and 24 month.
The dress features a rounded collar that is sewn to the dress and a matching center stripe that is crochet into the dress. Sugar 'N Cream yarns were used to make the set. You can find the pattern here.
The dress opens in back and uses snaps to close it. The main body of the dress was done in a light tan or ecru color. The accent yarn for the collar, stripe, purse and hat is a multi-color yarn with white, yellow and browns.
There is a pattern for a matching draw string purse so the little lady can go out in style.
Here is a vintage pattern from my own collection. It is from the 1930's and is a hat and matching pinwheel purse. The pattern calls for Gimp which is not longer available but I've found that worsted weight (#4) yarn works well in its place.
This week's free pattern is one I designed a while ago. It was when JoAnns first came out those large skeins of boucle yarn that self stripes as you crochet it. I wanted to make something that took the entire skein of yarn and came up with this doll bed or carrier. You can find the pattern here.
Here is a picture with large 3 month size baby doll in the bed. You can see the braided handle laying across the doll's body.
You will also need Pound of Love yarn to make the mattress and pillow, siez H hook, needle to take yarns, stuffing and some cardboard. The measurements are: Mattress: 11” (widest point across) X 18” and 1-1\4” thick; Pillow: 8” X 8”; Carrier: 14” X 20” and 5-1\2” deep. Enjoy!
Cute and smiling Kokeshi girls make this place mats one of a kind.

Make the four different hair styles or one set of each style.

The top is separate from the bottom and connected by snap tap you sew to the pajamas.
The top opens at the neck for easy one and off for the head. It also has snap tab applied.
The pajamas are designed with feet attached .
This is what snap tape looks like. It is a webbed tape with snaps applied. It can be found in most fabric stores at the notion wall. It is by the yard so you can get as little or much as you want. The tape is designed to be sewn to garments.
Envelope Style Pop Tab Purse is my latest free pattern. An envelope purse is probably the easiest of all purses to make next to a sack purse. You simply make a long rectangle and fold it into thirds. The top fold is the flap for the purse. The next folds are sewn together at the sides to make the purse.
What makes this purse unique it the fact that pop tabs are used to make the "fabric" for the purse. Because it is made with pop tabs crochet together the purse needs to be lined. To line it, you simply used the finished purse as a pattern (before the sides are sewn), cutting two of fabric making sure to add 1/2" all around for a seam allowance. Sew around edges of fabric leaving an opening for turning. Turn right side out, sew opening closed. Press lining to lay flat and then sew to the wrong side of the purse. Then fold and sew the purse.
Here is a photo tutorial on how to crochet the pop tabs into the "fabric."
This pattern set has instructions for a cover-up, hat and tote just im time for summer. I used Bernat Coordinates in a mix color but solids will look equally as well. The free pattern is here.
What I think is so great with this pattern is that the cover-up can be made to any size. What you do is work enough blocks to go around your bust and then add the netting to that so you can get a custom fit.
is in the air especially when you take a look at this cute dress & jacket
the dress and jacket feature two-tone blue design.
dress features a central pleat that when open reveals a darker blue. The dress
is short sleeves and has a cute little bow at its center neck edge. It opens
all the way up in back for easy on and off and fastens with the aid of snaps.
jacket is front opening with large sleeves gathered at the wrists and features
crochet buttons as added decoration. A
two color design in the shape of a T shows off the darker blue beautifully. The
sample dress was made with blues but any two colors would work equally as well.
dress and jacket set comes with the instructions to make 3 sizes: 12 month, 18
month and 24 month baby sizes.
items were crochet with a large J size hook to keep the outfit light and airy.
using Bernat Baby Sport Yarns in Light Blue and Denim. You will also need needle to take yarn, small
